Richard E. Crandall is the Beroth Oil Professor in the College of Business.. He is certified in production and inventory management (CFPIM), integrated resource management (CIRM), and supply chain management (CSCP) by APICS - The Association for Operations Management, an international professional industry organization. He is a registered professional engineer and a certified public accountant. He has an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from West Virginia University, a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, a certified public accountant, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Prior to joining ASU, Dick worked as an industrial engineer, foreman, chief industrial engineer, and in general management positions for several companies, both manufacturing and service. He also worked as a consultant for a major consulting firm, installing systems for both operations and financial applications.

Dr. Crandall has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from West Virginia University, an MSIM from Boston University, and a Ph.D. in Production/Operations Management from the University of South Carolina.
