Why Attend?
Professional Development
Integrating security into development is a critical front in the battle against cyber attacks. The last few years have taught us how important it is to protect your sensitive data, intellectual property, and information systems. Attendees will learn how to do so from industry leaders, along with the most current industry trends.
Student Impact
All proceeds from our events are used to provide scholarships to CIS students. For the 2024-2025 academic year, Cyber Summit and the CIS Advisory Board will provide $80,000 in scholarship funding to deserving students. These awards allow students to concentrate on their studies, lessen the financial stress and debt on their families, and enable students to be more involved in college-wide clubs, leadership, and study abroad opportunities.
Congratulations to the 2024-2025 recipients, including Hailey Martin, Griffin Bean, Aidan Shelton, Brooke Fornges, Ellie Hubbard, Raoul Eno, Jackson Ye, Alexia Chapman, Aidan Fratcher, Emily Wilson, Bryan Hunsinger, James Keith, Hiren Patel, Sam Edwards, William Prevette, Zeb Weber, Levi Church, and Rachel Porter.
Every time you donate, you allow a student to continue without the stress of income. I know for a fact that the reason many people quit their goals is because of the monetary limits set on them. So please know to simply go another day not having to fear losing everything you worked for is a true blessing.
— Raoul Eno, 2024-25 Cyber Summit Scholarship Recipient
Being awarded a scholarship provides me with a sense of belonging and achievement. I did not finish high school the traditional way and never dreamed I would be where I am now. This scholarship will help me achieve my goals and help provide the drive to continue to better my education.
—Zeb Weber, 2024-25 Cyber Summit Scholarship Recipient
Scholarships mean much more than just financial aid to me as a student. These scholarships give me something to look forward to throughout the semester as I am doing the best I can in my education. Being able to continue my education in the Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics program without financial burden means the world to me, and I couldn't be more grateful!
— Bryan Hunsinger, 2024-25 Cyber Summit Scholarship Recipient
