Gary Young, MBA
Adjunct Lecturer
Gary Young is an Adjunct Lecturer of Computer Information Systems in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. He received his Masters in Business Management (MBA) from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas and his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Gary has over 25 years of business and leadership experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, and Business Intelligence. More recently, in the AI and Data Analytics space. His roles have spanned from serving as a Consultant at KPMG to Senior Director of Business Intelligence at SAS Institute to Executive Vice President at a Data Apps startup. Gary has spent his career partnering with Fortune 1000 organizations, Higher Education Institutions and Government Agencies around the world to leverage data and analytics to drive true real-world impact.
