As a graduate of Appalachian State University three times over, Katherine is invested in the education of all mountaineers. After returning to the High Country in 2020 from working in non-profit management, fundraising, and marketing, Katherine currently serves as a Product Owner for ECR Software, Corp., a leading retail solutions company rooted in Boone. Over the past year, Katherine's recent projects included work with large language models, recommendation system engines, model deployment via Kubernetes and Docker architecture, and the causal-behavioral framework for model assessment.
Katherine also teaches undergraduate classes for the Beaver College of Health Sciences, and serves as a data analyst and consultant for inter-university research teams comprised of faculty from Appalachian State University, Ohio State University, and the University of Rhode Island.
