Wiley S. Brown, PhD

Dr. Brown is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems in the John A. Walker College of Business.  Before earning his Ph.D. in Information Systems from UNCG, Wiley spent 3 years serving as an Adjunct Instructor here at Appalachian State University (2008-2011). He has served in different capacities at North Carolina A&T State University, Liberty Online University, and Catawba College over the last 5 years teaching an array of CIS, Business Communication, Management, and Operations Management courses.

His works have been published in a number of journals and conference proceedings such as the Communications of the Association for Information Systems, International Journal Mobile Communications, Business Communication Research and Practice, and Frontiers in Communication. His more recent research endeavors focus on the influence of mobile devices on society.
