Dr. Youngeui Kim is an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. She received her Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Her research primarily focuses on examining the informative and economic role of online review, particularly user-generated pictures, by applying image and text mining combined with data analytics. Her teaching interests include but are not limited to data analytics, database management systems, and information security. She has published in Production and Operations Management, Decision Support Systems, and the Asia Pacific Journal of Information Systems and has presented her research at numerous conferences including the Workshop on Information Technologies and Systems, the Americas Conference on Information Systems, and the Appalachian Research in Business Symposium.
