Walker College of Business Scholarship Application Now Open

The 2019-2020 Walker College of Business Scholarship Application is now active and will be open through February 3, 2019. It can be found at http://business.appstate.edu/students/scholarships

You will need to sign in to the application with your ASU username and password. You will also have the opportunity to edit your application until it closes on February 3, 2019.

You need only complete one application – be sure to navigate around the website as additional information regarding each scholarship is available by clicking on available links. The application could take as little as 10-15 minutes to complete.

To increase your chances of being selected to receive a scholarship award:

  • Complete your FAFSA as early as possible. A FAFSA is required to determine financial need. Many WCOB scholarships have a need criterion. Without a FAFSA on file, you will not be considered for need-based scholarships.

  • Please pay special attention to the question regarding your classification (Sophomore, Junior, Senior, MS-Accounting student). This is not your classification today, but rather what your classification will be at the beginning of FALL 2019. Your classification is based on the number of semester credit hours you have already completed and for which you have received credit.

  • There are places in the application that ask for county. Do not misread this as country. We need your county in order to consider you for certain scholarships. If you are from outside the USA and county does not apply, please answer NA (not applicable).

  • Be sure your major(s) and minor(s) are correct in your student records. Check Degree Works or ask your advisor. I will get your major(s) and minor(s) from Banner. If your information is incorrect, it could mean that you will not be considered for a scholarship you may be qualified to receive.

You have an opportunity to upload your resume if you desire. This is optional. Be sure your application is as complete as possible. Do not use your resume as a substitute for any information in your application. Once you upload your resume, you are not able to remove it and you may not be able to add another one. Your resume may or may not be viewed. If you provide a resume, it will be made available only if the scholarship committee asks for more information.

Let me know if you have any questions.
