Cybersecurity Concentration

We're excited to inform you about a new concentration in Cybersecurity for CIS majors that began in Fall 2021.  In order to add the concentration to your CIS major, please make an appointment with a WCOB advisor.  In addition to the CIS major core classes, to earn this concentration, you'll need to take the following courses:   
 

CIS Cybersecurity Concentration Required Courses (6 hours)

Take both of the following:

CIS 3740 - Audit & Cybersecurity Analytics

CIS 3840 - Managing Security

  

CIS Cybersecurity Concentration Elective Courses (3 hours)

Take one of the following:

CIS 3820- Ethics and Privacy

CIS 3870- Web and Mobile Development

CIS 3880- Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures

CIS 4620 - IS Strategy, Policy, and Governance 

CIS 4760- Global Blockchain for Business

 Current students who have already declared a major can switch to the Cybersecurity major by visiting the Walker College of Business Advising office.   Eligible current students who have not yet declared a major can declare their major here.
